Happy Birthday bella Gia.
January 29 would have been Gia's fifty-first birthday. Sort of wild to imagine she's a 'young baby boomer'. I have no doubt she'd make 50s the new 20s. Happy birthday sweetie. You are adored and missed, the world over.

Rest in Peace, Gia Carangi
Remembering Gia, on this, the 24th anniversary of her passing. Gia, you'd be amazed at how many people around the world discover you every day. Your spirit is alive and kicking, within the souls of so many. Rest in peace.

The day Gia's cover fetched $510.00 on Ebay
Remember Ebay? Or, rather, remember when Ebay was fun?
Back in 1999 when the fledgling auction site was gaining traction and creating an international gathering place at which to ooh and ahh anything worth collecting, Gia Carangi fans started to come out of the virtual woodwork.
Magazine trading became a brisk business. Gia's sexy Cosmo and Vogue covers. Her editorials. Her Christian Dior and Versace ads. Even sewing pattern packets on which Gia appeared in her early modeling days.
Above a screen capture of one of the highest-selling items to date: the January 1980 issue of Philadelphia magazine featuring Gia Carangi on the cover. "80 Hot People to Watch" read the cover...
The auction ended January 15, 2007. Opening bid was just under two hundred dollars. Two bidders duked it out. In the end, "readingage" was the victorious Ebayer.
